Sandra ("Sandy") E. Dunwoodie joined Healy & Associates, LLC as Accounting Manager in 2001, after 17 years of progressively increasing responsibility as an accountant at Goodman & McAllister, CPAs, Chartered, of Bethesda and Rockville, Maryland. She has a total of 26 years of experience as a tax and accounting professional.

♦ Practice Areas/Expertise:

At Healy & Associates, LLC, Sandy has primary control over all areas of business accounting and tax compliance services, including monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements, compilations and reviews, annual employee benefit plan administration and information returns. She is also in charge of client payroll services, such as quarterly and annual federal and state payroll and unemployment tax return processing and answering state and federal tax issue correspondence. Sandy serves the internal audit and control function for banking and bookkeeping services that Healy & Associates, LLC provides to small businesses and high-net worth individuals. She also prepares federal and state individual, trust, corporate (C & S), partnership, and estate and gift tax returns.

Businesses for which Sandy has provided accounting and tax services include real estate owners, builders, syndicators and entrepreneurs, large to small medical practices, publishing companies and authors, manufacturers and custom machine shops, law firms, non-profit entities and private foundations, property management companies, investment firms, trusts, high net worth individuals and retail firms. ♦ Education/Professional Memberships:

Sandy graduated from Mount St. Mary’s University, Emmitsburg, MD, in 1984 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting. Sandy’s graduation was particularly memorable because her father, a former U.S. Navy Submariner was also a member of her graduating class. Sandy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA).

♦ Activities:

Sandy was born in Connecticut, but as part of a military family, she also lived in Hawaii and Ohio, eventually settling in Maryland. Sandy holds a fourth degree black belt in Karate and has spent many years performing in exhibitions and teaching at schools and Karate camps. A physical fitness buff, she also loves walking, elliptical training and water aerobics. She is a devoted aunt to her several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephew.
